On behalf of the Mid-Valley Special Education Cooperative, I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year! Each staff member has been working diligently to prepare for the return of our amazing students. We have set some high expectations and strive to ensure each MVSEC student has a successful and fulfilling school year.
Let me first extend a warm welcome to all MVSEC new staff. We are excited to have you as part of our team and pledge our support so you can be the best for all our students. Likewise, we have a new administrator-Mr. Tanner Seal-who will coordinate the ELS, 12+, VI. HI and APE programs. Welcome aboard Tanner!
Some of our programs will be housed in new locations this year. With great gratitude, we thank all our host schools for their generous hospitality (please see the attached list)! You will also notice some cosmetic improvements at both the Administration and Mades-Johnstone buildings: new paint and science labs. We can’t wait to see what the students achieve! Also, MVSEC is the recipient of the St. Charles Kiwanis grant of $1,000 to support supplies and materials for the MJC building. Thank you Kiwanis!
In the coming weeks, you will notice that our website will look different. Please be patient with us while we are under construction, but look forward to enhanced communication including information about our spectacular students and staff. Likewise, look for our Marketplace to expand their product line as well as venture into new partnerships with the community’s businesses.
The safety, emotional, and academic success of all students are the primary goals of every MVSEC staff. We believe every student can learn to the highest level and we are prepared to offer time and support to every student in need. We are looking forward to a productive partnership to ensure our children achieve to their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners we share this responsibility for each child’s success and want you to know that we will do our best to carry out our responsibilities.
If you should have any questions about expectations, please feel free to contact me, discuss them with your child’s teacher, or the program director. Please also review the MVSEC Parent Handbook which can be accessed on our website at www.mvse.org. We thank you for your support and look forward to working with you!
